Duds N Suds Murfreesboro: Our Story and Service
Serving Murfreesboro from Bradyville Pike since 1958, with laundry care for families, students, and busy households.
A Local Laundry With a Long History
You may know the washers at our Bradyville Pike laundromat without knowing that Duds N Suds Laundry opened there in 1958. Here is how Duds N Suds Murfreesboro grew with the city and now serves MTSU students and local families through self-service, wash and fold, and pickup and delivery.
Duds N Suds Murfreesboro: Bradyville Pike Since 1958
Our laundromat at 1626 Bradyville Pike opened in 1958, when Murfreesboro was a much smaller city. A Kiddle summary of U.S. Census Bureau figures shows that Murfreesboro grew from 18,991 residents in 1960 to 152,769 in 2020. Through that change, dependable laundry equipment remained a practical need for people without machines at home, residents dealing with broken appliances, and households with more laundry than a home washer could manage.
We have kept our focus on textile care while adapting to the needs of a growing community. Today, that means giving you a choice between self-service laundry, professional wash and fold, and pickup and delivery within Murfreesboro. You can read more about our roots and approach on our About Duds N Suds page.
Women-Owned and Neighbor-Focused
As a local, women-owned business, Duds N Suds Laundry aims to provide a clean, safe place with friendly help when you need it. We treat customers like neighbors rather than anonymous loads or order numbers.
Our on-site attendants are available every day from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. They can help if you are unsure which machine to choose or need guidance with a large load. The laundromat itself is open daily from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, giving you more room to fit laundry around work, classes, and family schedules.
Our building is fully wheelchair accessible. That access matters when you are moving a basket, handling wet bedding, or using a mobility aid.
Growing Alongside MTSU Students and Local Families
Murfreesboro’s growth has included a much larger student community. According to College Tuition Compare, MTSU enrolls more than 20,000 undergraduate and graduate students. For those students, laundry has to fit around lectures, assignments, campus activities, and shared living arrangements.
We support MTSU students with special discounts on drop-off laundry orders. Bring your student ID when you drop off your clothes so our team can apply the student rate. Our professional service handles the washing, drying, and folding, leaving you with clean clothes that are ready to put away.
Local families use the same service when weekly loads begin to consume too much time. It can also help during busy work periods, after a trip, or when household laundry has piled up. Our student guide to wash-and-fold options near MTSU offers more information for students comparing their choices.
Modern Capacity for Bulky Household Linens
Bulky bedding needs space to move inside a washer. When a comforter is packed tightly into a small home machine, water and detergent may not circulate freely through the fabric. The load can also become unbalanced, making it harder to wash and spin properly.
Our commercial washers and dryers range from 20-pound to 80-pound capacities. The largest machines are built for substantial loads and bulky household items, including king-sized comforters, sleeping bags, and heavy rugs that will not fit in a standard home washer.
Before washing a rug, comforter, or other large item, check its care label for material-specific instructions. If you are uncertain about the right machine or setting, ask an attendant during staffed hours. Choosing enough drum space gives water and detergent room to move through thick fabric.
A Murfreesboro Tradition Built for Today
History matters, but your laundry still needs to fit the life you lead now. Our full-service laundry includes professional washing, drying, and neat folding with modern equipment and premium detergents. We guarantee that full-service wash-and-fold orders will be ready within 24 hours.
If visiting the laundromat is difficult to schedule, we provide door-to-door pickup and delivery throughout Murfreesboro. You can arrange collection from your home, then let our team handle the cleaning and folding. Pickup and delivery orders also have a guaranteed 24-hour turnaround.
Self-service remains available when you prefer to manage the load yourself or need clean clothes sooner. Our range of machine sizes lets you run everyday clothing and bulky household loads at the same facility.
